J.K. Rowling Is To Publish A New Novel For Adults

J.K. Rowling's agency, The Blair Partnership has announced today that the author will be releasing a new novel for adults.

A note from the author says "Although I’ve enjoyed writing it just as much, my next novel will be very different from the Harry Potter series."

In a press release, Rowling states:

"Although I’ve enjoyed writing it every bit as much, my next book will be very different to the Harry Potter series, which has been published so brilliantly by Bloomsbury and my other publishers around the world. The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me, and with that new territory it seemed a logical progression to have a new publisher. I am delighted to have a second publishing home in Little, Brown, and a publishing team that will be a great partner in this new phase of my writing life."

Details of the book will be announced later in the year. It will also be published by Little, Brown.

JK Rowling's website is "currently being refreshed and redesigned". It will be relaunched later this Spring.

I Hate Adult Fare

I went to Causeway Point with Idayu last Wednesday just to get out of the house. I have to take the train to reach there. Idayu can just walk since she stays quite near to Causeway Point. I thought I was going to be late because I took my own sweet time to get ready. But I'm not. I don't like the fact that they charged us adult fare now. Thank goodness I've decided to top up my ez-link card. I only left with $1! Bloody hell! We're only 17. They can't charged us adult fare! The JC students still get the student fare. This is so not fair.

Oh well, adult fare aside. We went to KFC for lunch as per usual since Idayu don't like to eat anything else except KFC. Idayu got the normal meal, while I got the student meal! HAAA! Went window shopping after that. We have this habit to comment about how ugly the clothes are. LOL. We had to by 4pm because Idayu has to go somewhere.

My neighbour has passed away on Friday morning. He's very old. His pancreas was spoilt. No one's going to greet us when we get out of the lift again :( My heart goes out to his family for the loss of their loved one. RIP Ah Pek.

Hey folks!

Did some baking today with my mum today! Well, it's not baking actually but more of steaming. LOL. We made kueh blossom :) It was quite easy to do make them but it took quite a long to finish making. Here's how the kueh blossom look like:

They're quite small so that's why it took quite a long to finish. There's over 100 pieces, I think. While waiting, I took an advantage to watch the new Chinese drama on Channel 8 "Rescue 995". If you guys have read my "Nug Nug" post, you would already know that my brother's going to be in that show. Well yes, he is. He appeared in episode 2 where he just help to push the stretcher and do a bit of something else.

That's my brother in that red circle. Yes, my brother got to meet local actors/actresses like Jeanette Aw. You can watch Rescue 995 episode 2 on XinMSN Catch-up TV or on Youtube. I will post a review on episode 1 some time this week.

I cleaned my bedroom yesterday. There's so many dusts! I threw a lot of things that are on the study table. Most of those things are my sister's stuff. It took me 2 hours just to clean the whole bedroom. You know whenever you clean your room, you'll tend to stop and look at some old things. Well, that's exactly me yesterday.

LOOK WHAT I FOUND! MY TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES WALLET! I used this wallet back when I was in primary 5. LOL. I was quite a tomboy, to be honest. I only use this wallet for like a few months then I switched to my current one. My friend teased me for using this wallet. Not really mad at her though. I'm not going to throw away this wallet. It's the most expensive wallet I've ever bought! Well, it costs about $10. My other wallets only cost like $2 or below. LOLOLOL. I can't believe I used that wallet.

Apart from making kueh blossom, I did nothing else except eat, watch tv and read my X-Men comic book for the second time.

Matthew Lewis has revealed via Twitter, that he would be filming Wasteland soon!

In other news, heading to the big city tomorrow for meetings. I gots to find me another job. After Wasteland of course...

MTV has revealed recently that filming of Wasteland will begin at the end of February. Harry Potter co-stars Timothy Spall(Peter Pettigrew) and Natalia Tena(Nymphadora Tonks) will also star in Wasteland, a film by writer-director Rowan Athale.

Matthew Lewis Wraps ‘The Syndicate’

Recently, Matthew Lewis and a few other co-stars wrapped filming of The Syndicate. He announced this via Twitter:

Always good to finish a project. Particularly one as fulfilling as The Syndicate. Thanks to @jopage_ @MatthewMcnultys, our kid and the rest.

Matthew plays Jamie who works at a supermarket managed by Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew) who plays Bob. Co-star Matthew McNulty plays as his brother, Stuart. Click here to read more about The Syndicate. Also, here's a video of behind the scenes of the show.

The Syndicate is a five part miniseries which is set to air in March on BBC1. Those of you in the UK will get to see Matt’s face again on TV soon.

Hey guys!

It's been awhile since I last posted anything. LOL. When was that? Not much news going around lately. Plus I'm just too lazy to update this blog. Heh. This is going to be a personal post like an online diary. Yup, I'ev decided that maybe I could share some personal things here. This post can be read on my Tumblr too. I'm just going to copy and paste it here. HAA.

So, earlier today, we received our JAE posting results. I got posted into Pharmaceutical Sciences at Republic Poly :) Don't really like the campus but at least I got into the course I wanted. I'm just figuring out which bus to take to go there. LOL. I would probably have to take the LRT, MRT and the bus to get there. I don't know anyone who's going to the same school as me. So, that means I'm going to be meeting new friends. Idayu's going to RP too, but different course. She won't have any problems getting there since she stays somewhere near the campus. We might be going to school together if our course starts at the same time. I heard Dinie's going to RP also. That dude lives 2 blocks away from me. Most people from my secondary school are going to Nanyang Poly. Oh, I'm definitely going to miss them.

I need to do lots of shopping since we're not going to wear uniforms in polytechnics. I need to buy new shoes, new pants and new clothes. Wow, what a very good reason to go shopping! I need a new laptop too. Mine's old and slow as fuck. That's lots of money. LOL. Nevermind, my parents are going to pay for them.

Enough of that news already! Haha! So, there's going to be a new Chinese drama called Rescue 995 on Channel 8. I'm not Chinese but I'm so going to watch it! LOL. That's because my brother's in it as a medic/extra. I think it's going to be for one episode only because my brother said he didn't want to be in it anymore. Oh, he's a real medic anyway.

Oh, I'm actually watching Pingu right now. That's why the title of this post is "Nug Nug".

"The Kids From Yesterday" Music Video

My Chemical Romance has released a new music video for their new single "The Kids From Yesterday". This will be the last single released from the album Danger Days.

This song means a lot of different things to us individually and we hope it speaks to you as well. When deciding what kind of video would work the best with the song we immediately thought of a "video collage"...something that would show the progression of the band over the past 10 years leading up to one of our most memorable moments, closing the Reading and Leeds festivals this past summer.

The music video was directed by a fan, Emily Eisemann. Emily had made a fan video and put it up on Youtube which has caught My Chem's attention. My Chem then decided to give her a call.

Here's an excerpt of what Emily has to say about this whole thing:

The Kids From Yesterday is my favorite track off of Danger Days. The song is nostalgic; a coming of age anthem about the fear of growing so used to life’s drudging complacency that you forget what it is like to hear the music when your heart begins to break. It’s moving on from idealistic youth, but never forgetting who you were, who you are, and what you owe that to. It’s a journey, both a finale and a prelude. It’s about leaving things behind and flying by the seat of your pants. You never know when the end will come, so hold on tight – or, perhaps, Take my fucking hand – and set off to make something of yourself, because you only live once, you only live now, and the world is what you make of it. In a reflection of words written over ten years ago now, oh, how wrong you would be to think that immortality meant never dying.

I could never have expected that one day, I would be contacted by the overwhelmingly lovely people of My Chem’s management and asked, in exchange for compensation, to contribute what I had made to the official video for Kids. Go watch the video above. It's so beautiful. I'm speechless. If you don't know this yet, well let me tell you this: I am a part of the MCRmy. I am a Killjoy. To be honest, I cried watching the video. It didn't take 2-3 mins to get me crying. The moment the video starts, I bawled like a baby. It's amazing that My Chem decided to do a video collage directed by a fan. I don't get it why some people thought that The Kids From Yesterday video is not good enough. I think this video is wonderful. It shows all the hard work that My Chem has put in for the past 10 years to spread their music around the world and to change people's life. It's not easy to continue with this journey and dealing with negative comments about your band at the same time. My Chem is still the old My Chem. Whether they're in the Bullets era, Revenge, Parade or Danger Days, they will still be the best band in the whole wide world. They will still be known as My Chemical Romance forever. My Chemical Romance is The Kids From Yesterday! Amazing song, amazing video! 5/5 Stars!

90's R&B Medleys!

Hey folks!

If you guys love R&B music, especially from the 80's and 90's, then maybe you guys should check out the R&B medley by VanJess. VanJess are formed by two sisters, Ivana and Jessica. They usually cover songs by artists like Rihanna, T-Pain, Beyonce and many others. Besides doing covers, they also write their own songs too.

VanJess did 2 parts of the R&B Medley. The first part consists of songs such as This is How We Do It by Montell Jordan, Back and Forth by Aaliyah, No Diggity by Blackstreet, Return of the Mack by Mack Morrison, California Love by 2Pac & Dr. Dre and Creep by TLC.

The second part consists of Hey Mr DJ by Zhane, Wannabe by Spice Girls, No Scrubs by TLC, En Vogue's Hold On and Ain't Nothing But a G Thang by Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg.

Amazing! I love Part 2 more to be honest because they included Spice Girls' Wannabe and TLC's No Scrubs! I love how they decided to make a medley of R&B songs from the past. I know some songs were from the early 2000 but hey, who cares? These are the R&B songs that should be playing on the radio. The new songs are no longer as good as the past. I love how Ivana(the keyboardist) did that sound around 1:08min from the Part 2. If you missed it, you should replay the video. Oh, and Jessica's high voice too. Awesome! VanJess did a really great job in both parts. Magnificent! 5/5 Stars!

30 Seconds to Mars took home the inaugural Best Live MTV Performance award on Tuesday afternoon (December 13), for their stirring, scintillating Unplugged version of Hurricane.

The Echelon has voted for Mars until their fingers bleed. Mars has beaten Paramore's performance of Brick By Boring Brick with Paramore coming in 2nd place.

This has been an amazing month for both Mars and the Echelon. Mars has broken the Guinness World Record for the Most Performed Shows in a single album cycle on Dec 7th. Later this month on the 26th, vocalist Jared Leto will be celebrating his 40th birthday. His mother Constance will celebrate her 59th birthday on the 22nd. It is after all a celebration for both the Echelon and Mars this wonderful December.

The Sweet Shop Movie Trailer

MWS media has released The Sweet Shop Trailer which Matthew Lewis was filming in 2010. Matt plays an unnamed reporter trying to get the dirt on rock star Jarvis, played by the late actor Seb Hurtado, when he returns to his home town.

I've spend a few weeks of my holiday trying to finish reading this book. My sister borrowed this book from the library but she didn't have the time to read it. I'm the type of person who likes reading books. It seems to me that every book that my sister borrowed, I'm always the one reading them instead of her.

If you're horny as fuck or just love romance novels, I recommend

you Mackenzie's Legacy by Linda Howard. It's 2 romance stories in a book: Mackenzie's Mountain and Mackenzie's Mission.

Mackenzie's Mountain:

Mary Elizabeth Potter is a new schoolteacher assigned to a school in Wyoming. She was concerned about Joe Mackenzie when she found out that he quitted school. She was certain to make him return and catch up with all his classmates because she wants him to live his dreams to enter the Air Force Academy. Mary met Wolf Mackenzie, Joe's father, a man she soon fall in love with. The Mackenzie is a half-breed. Anglo-Indian. Mary was determined to convinced the whole town that the Mackenzie is not like what they think of. However, the recent 2 attacks got the whole town in rage. And they suspected that Wolf was the one who attacked Cathy Telee and Mary.

To be honest, I read this book because I saw the Mary's last name is Potter. I haven't heard of any other characters with Potter as their last name except for Harry Potter. The whole story is indeed full of suspense and romance. It's a great story. The way Linda mix action and romance is wonderful. You could picture the whole story in your head. For me, I could easily suspect who was the one who did the attacks and I was right. Maybe perhaps for you horny people out there, you might love the way Linda describes the sexual actions that happened between Wolf and Mary. The story has it messages too.It tells us that we shouldn't assume someone is guilty of something when there's no evidence put against him. It also tells us that we should learn how to respect other races and accept them in our community.

Mackenzie's Mission:

Joe Mackenzie has made it to the Air Force Academy. Now known as Colonel Joe "Breed" Mackenzie. The Night Wing project is the revolutionary test plane with a top secret weapon system which is his number 1 top priority and Caroline Evans, a weapon expert is his number 1 distraction. Within the first week they get to known each other, Joe had her in bed with him in Vegas. But when someone sabotages the Night Wing, he cannot overlook Caroline's late hours and expertise. She was indeed the one under suspicion.

Mackenzie's Mission is more on Joe Mackenzie. For you horny people out there, you might love the way Linda describes the sexual actions that happened between Joe and Caroline. How fast they got involved in a sexual relationship. The same as Mackenzie's Mountain, it's full of suspense. You might think that this person is guilty, but you may be wrong. But the ending is quite short. I don't like the part when they found out who was guilty and it ended just like that with Joe and Caroline having sex while waiting for sundown to get back to the base. But overall, it's another great story by Linda Howard

Ratings: 3.5/5 Stars

Mackenzie's Legacy is indeed a wonderful book. Even New York Times bestselling author, Catherine Coulter said that "You can't read just one Linda Howard." Overall, I'll rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

30 Seconds To Mars Has Broken The Record!

On Dec 7th 2011 at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, 30 Seconds To Mars played their 300th show. On this date, Mars has broken the Guinness World Record for the Most Performed Shows in a single album cycle. The Mars300 as they called it. Mars300 is a celebration of their record breaking tour. They played a total of 309 shows worldwide. It was originally 300 shows before they added more dates after the announcement of the Mars300.

Fans around the world get to watch the show live from NYC through the VyRT when they bought the digital tickets which costs about US$15 each. The VyRT consists of a virtual backstage access, Q & A with the band and many more.

I prefer the last film, mainly because I reflect on the filming of that as the most enjoyable. As an actor you want to feel like your character takes a journey and the journey affects the outcome of the picture. In the last film I really felt like that happened for me.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Jobbing away, doing the best I can for anybody who will pay me. I just want to work, it doesn’t bother me particularly what I’m doing as long as when we finish I can be proud of the part I play in it.

Lady Gaga Rumoured To Announce 'Record Breaking' 2-Year World Tour

Lady Gaga stirred up some trouble with the Echelon earlier today when there's rumours about her planning to undertake an enormous world tour in 2012. Lady Gaga is said to be planning a massive world tour consisting of a record breaking 450 dates over 2 years.

A source close to the singer told The Sun that the idea to do such an extensive tour bizarrely came to the singer in her sleep. The source said: "As is always the case with Gaga, the plans came to her in her sleep. She has a target of 450 dates. It has never been done before, but she's doesn't think that's a reason not to try."

But why this piece of news caused some anger among the Echelon?

If you're a fan of 30 Seconds To Mars, you might already know that Mars will be playing their 300th concert on Dec 7th. The Mars300 as they called it.

On this special date, Mars will be breaking the World Guinness Record for the Most Shows Performed during a single album cycle. On that very special occasion, the Echelon would also be able to to watch the Mars300 live stream at home when they purchased the VyRT.

The Echelon got mad when they found that Lady Gaga is going to do the same thing but with 450 shows within 2 years. They believe that it is very disrespectful to announce it this week when Mars is going to celebrate it in just a few days.

I like Lady Gaga, but as an Echelon, I think this is not appropriate. Mars is going to celebrate Mars300 and break the world record but suddenly a rumour appeared saying Lady Gaga is going to be the one breaking the record. Lady Gaga has almost ruined this special moment. Mars has worked so hard to make this happen. They even announce this Mars300 show when it's nearing the end of the tour. Isn’t it a bit disrespectful to announce it a few days before Mars is going to do it this Dec 7th?!

Well, for now Lady Gaga has not spoken anything about it yet. And this is just a rumour told by a source close to the singer. If it's true, she could have waited til next year or the end of her tour to announce the news.

Playing Neville you had to wear false bad teeth, you had sticky-out ears, and you had to wear a fat suit. How difficult was it looking like that as you went through adolescence?
When I was about 15 or 16, I hated it. I thought this is what the rest of the world thinks I am, what I really look like. I was so sick of the fat suit I used to take it off as soon as I came off set even if it was only for 20 minutes. Then I started to appreciate what it was all about. Becoming a character was important, and by the end I had a whole new appreciation of it. That fat suit and the make-up did help me get into the role. I’m glad I stuck with it.

What was the most memorable moment in the whole Harry Potter experience?
At the premiere of the first film when the credits rolled, John Williams's music welled up, and everyone stood up and applauded, I just had this feeling, "Wow, I made a film that’s amazing.” You feel a part of something very special. I thought there might be another film, but I never thought I’d be here 10 years later still talking about it.

SnitchSeeker: Do you feel you have grown with Neville, as he grew stronger, you grew stronger?
Matt: Yeah absolutely but that’s just a case of growing up. I’d worked with adults on a level for a long time and I, along with the others, had to mature quickly. I grew in confidence in not just myself but in my ability also. I’m quite a self-conscious person anyway - I think most actors are - so Neville’s courage inspired me just as much as it did the people watching at home.
SnitchSeeker: Who inspired you the most out of all the people you worked with on Harry Potter?
Matt: A ton of people from that job shaped my life and my craft over the last ten years, so to pick a few would probably be a great injustice, but since you’ve asked I might as well. Alan Rickman, David Yates and Daniel Radcliffe. All for various reasons and all crucial in making me what I am.

In a recent interview by Marc Lee with The Telegraph, Matthew Lewis talks about how his favourite Hollywood actor became an inspiration during a challenging period in his acting career. You can read the whole interview here.

After the Potter films, I was doing a stage play [Agatha Christie’s Verdict] and really struggling with it, thinking, “I don’t know if I can do this.” So I started watching Dog Day Afternoon, and when I was watching it for the fifth time, the director came in and I told him: “I’m just trying to draw something, anything from his performance. I know it’s not what my character is, nothing to do with it, but I’m trying to get some inspiration from the big man.”

It’s all about the way he moves, that stare, that intensity. It’s hard to put your finger on what it is about his technique, but you watch it and go: “I want to do that. How can I find that spirit and do that?”

[In] the Potter films, my character took a sort of journey, too. I was lucky because I had 10 years to do it, every year developing the character of Neville a bit more, changing him slightly while keeping the essential character. Which is the hard bit, not losing sight of who he is. Pacino had a helluva shorter time as Michael Corleone. But, looking back on it, you can’t imagine anyone else doing it.

Graffiti artist Kim-Lan made an amazing Jared Leto graffiti. Jared Leto is an American actor and lead singer of 30 Seconds To Mars. Kim-Lan uses a photo of Leto with his Marshawk hair as a guide. Check out the video below.

Congrats 30 Seconds To Mars! Mars won the Best Alternative and Best World Stage at the MTV EMA in Belfast. We did it, Echelon! We voted 'til our fingers bleed and it was worth it! The Best Fans award goes to Lady Gaga and her monsters. Echelon doesn't need such award to prove the world we are the best fans because we're not fans, we're one big family. Echelon loves you!

My Chemical Romance didn't win anything this year. But that's ok, MCRmy! Even if MCR didn't win anything, we will still support them no matter what because we the MCRmy are one big family. MCRmy loves you! Echelon and MCRmy will always support each other. Echelon and MCRmy are BFFs.
